I got to spend a foggy evening with Abby + Sean on what used to be her family farm. I absolutely loved these two from the moment we sat down to chat about their wedding and I am so looking forward to spending their day with them this fall. We had such moody, foggy weather for their engagement photos and I LOVED that we laughed through their entire session. I also strong armed Sean into joining our wedding professionals group. My dears, if you are looking for ceremony music for your event, give Sean a call. You can find him here.
Abby + Sean, congrats again and can’t wait for your wedding day!
High fives,
Kate
Ohhhhh, loves, hold on to your seats. I had an absolutely AMAZING time with Christie + James last fall on their engagement session. We ran all over downtown St. Paul for their portraits and James did such a fantastic job of picking the locations. These two were up for anything and that always makes a session level up in the awesome department. I am so pumped for their wedding this September at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club!!
Christie + James, see you guys soon! Can’t wait!
High fives,
Kate
I got to spend some quiet time with Miss E and her loving parents one morning last fall. Soooooooo in love with her newborn portraits.

Last October I totally got to spend an amazing day with Krystal + Matthew. I had been looking forward to their wedding ever since their engagement session. Matt is the groom that started the year of Ricky Bobby hands for my groomsmen. Asking me “what should I do with my hands” while shooting now results in my laughing hysterically and thinking of this photo:

Their wedding day was absolutely gorgeous and I was floored by all of the planning that Krystal had put into their day. Their reception at the Jefferson Street Inn was beyond beautiful and their staff was just over the top helpful. Some of my favorite things were: The groomsmen shirts. Matthew’s cufflinks. The cakes. The way Krystal had the ballroom transformed with every little detail. Shooting on Krystal’s family farm. How absolutely happy everyone was that day. Ricky Bobby hands. The DANCING!
Krystal + Matt, thank you both so much for letting me share in your wedding day.
High fives,
Kate

I got to spend an afternoon of laughter with Molly + Jordan last fall. I am so looking forward to their wedding this year. I’m pretty sure if they ever start a band together, we nailed their album artwork like woah. Love you guys! See you in August!!
High fives,
Kate
We stopped at a few locations during Julia + Sam’s engagements session in Chippewa Falls, but my all time favorite was the open field near Sam’s family’s home. The wide open space and overcast sky was absolutely perfect and I am so looking forward to stopping there again after their wedding. They put so many personal touches into their session and I can’t wait to see what they do with their wedding day! See you guys soon!!
High fives,
Kate
I have to say, this is one of my favorite family sessions of all time (OF ALL TIME!). The girls and I probably could have continued running around for hours well after we wrapped the session. LOVED them. I joined the C Family at their Wisconsin lake house for a family session last fall. It was totally overcast all day, but the personality and spark from the girls absolutely brightened everything. Love you guys! Can’t wait for next year!! I’ll work on some sweet new dance moves.
High fives,
Kate
The session that we almost had to call off thanks to Mother Nature. However, the weather in Duluth, MN is interesting. If it was raining in the location we were shooting in, all it took was a drive across town to get away from it. I had SO much fun with Sarah + Seth on their engagement session. The leaves were intense. The locations they chose were amazing. We had scotch after their session at their family owned restaurant in downtown Duluth. They are absolutely lovely people and I am SO looking forward to spending their wedding day wih them this year!
High fives,
Kate
I got to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon with Larissa + Erik for their engagement session last fall. We started off out at Ferguson’s Orchards and then hit my super favorite place for peace and quiet. So looking forward to your wedding this year, guys! Erik will have a modeling career by then.
High fives,
Kate
You would never tell from the photos that Jackie + Ryan’s wedding day was ridiculously cold. It even snowed as we left for the reception. Their entire group was amazing about all of the outdoor photos and we took plenty of warm up breaks in between.
I love Jackie + Ryan together. They have this amazing sense of humor and you can tell when they look at each other just how much they honestly care about one another. The groomsmen were hilarious (and good sports). The ladies kept it real and owned those sleeveless dresses in the freezing temps.
Jackie + Ryan, love to you both. I can’t tell you how amazing it was getting to know you both a bit and spending your wedding day with you. I had such an amazing time with your guests.
High fives,
