Get ready, lovelies! This is what happens when a couple really thinks about the things they love to do together as a couple and we include those items in their engagement session!
Hannah + Mike are amazing. Mike is living down in IL right now and I only met Hannah at the initial meeting so I did not get to see them interact with each other before this session. Hannah is bright and bubbly to begin with, but she absolutely glows around Mike. They laughed. They snuggled. I’m pretty sure they hardly knew I was there. While downtown, we ran in to Hannah’s roommate and of course I had her photobomb an image. AND thank you, Culver’s, for having more than one flavor of the day since strawberry would have been a no go for Mike.
Guys, I can’t wait for your wedding in Eau Claire this July! And I’m sure you guys can’t wait to live in the same state!
Without further rambling, here are some of my favorites from their session:
I had an absolutely amazing afternoon with Jackie + Ryan this past weekend! We could not have asked for better weather for their engagement session!
I’m so thankful that the bats in the barn did NOT attack me. If they had, Jackie + Ryan probably would still be laughing about it as they read this. Matter of fact, they’d probably get to tell everyone at their wedding about their hilarious wedding photographer that dove out of a barn loft as a result of a bat attack. Bats. Are. Scary. Jackie + Ryan, the two of you were absolutely amazing together and I am so looking forward to your wedding this year. Thanks so much to you both and I seriously can’t wait for your wedding in October!
My favorites from their session:
Cheers,
Kate
Kendra + John are one of those carefree, amazingly fun couples that you pretty much know any time spent with them is going to be full of laughter. Big laughter. I’m willing to bet that I can count on their wedding day being more of the same, and I can’t wait to spend the day with them.
We started out at Carson Park entertaining anyone passing us on the recreation path. They all had fair warning because I’m willing to bet you could hear us laughing all the way on the other side of the park. From there we headed down to Phoenix Park just in time to scoop up some amazing sunset light.
Kendra + John, I am so looking forward to your wedding next month! John, I’m pretty sure we got all the silly spinning out of our systems at your engagement session, so no worries.
Without further rambling, a little snippet from their session:
When we were planning Beth + Andy’s engagement session, there was a much different idea in mind. However, the Minneapolis Zoo happens to be remodeling still and we went with a Plan B. I LOVED Plan B.
Beth + Andy met through their jobs. After six long months of sales calls and finding excuses to stop by the store where she worked, Andy asked her out. Andy gave Beth an engagement DSLR. Which is pretty awesome in my eyes. They are my kind of people.
For the first half of their session, we ran around the Stone Arch Bridge. From there, we hit Bryant Lake Bowl. It’s one of those quirky little 8 lane houses that still has the above ground ball return. I repeat: you get to watch your ball come back! The food was amazing and I seriously loved that Beth + Andy picked such a fun location. We bowled a game, noshed (seriously, the food = fantastic!), grabbed some drafts at the bar and just relaxed while we shot. Thank you so much to Bryant Lake Bowl for allowing us to shoot in your location!
Beth + Andy, I am SO looking forward to your wedding in Eau Claire this November! See you soon!
Oh my. Where do I even begin with these two? We met up last Saturday in Eau Claire and I can’t thank them enough for letting go; really putting themselves out there during their session. Jenna + Bjorn’s engagement session can be summed up in one word: laughter. My sides ached when I got home. Other words that would have summed it up as well: carefree, beautiful, beloved… They were up for anything. The amazing chalk art? Yeah, that was all Bjorn. Jenna and I both learned that he’s pretty good at making hearts with arrows.
Jenna + Bjorn, I am really looking forward to spending your wedding day with you! See you soon!
