In those last few weeks of pregnancy, it’s nice to take a break from all that preparing, nesting, and list making to sneak a little maternity session in before your wee babe arrives.

Jessica, I can’t wait to meet your little man. I’m quite certain that he’s going to grow up with the best sense of humor ever. Enjoy the last 4 (2ish…) weeks, he’ll be here before you know it!

Spring is finally almost here and what a perfect time to freshen up your business headshots. Molly is an amazing portrait photographer here in town and I loved swooping over to her studio yesterday afternoon to take these for her. Helloooooooooo, beautiful! Business headshots are a great way to put a face with your business and really personalizes your online presence for your clients. So if you’re still rocking an outdated self portrait from 4 years ago on your website or blog, definitely put new headshots on your to do list for 2012.

Woooooooooooooo! Emily absolutely rocked her senior photos. It was cold. And windy times ten. But she was so much fun to shoot with and I loved everything about her senior session. Emily brought her BFF to the session which totally made for some awesome laughs! My favorite.

I had the amazing opportunity last weekend to hang out with my dear friend and Chicago film photographer Amy. John was in town from Atlanta for the weekend and I got a chance to spend an afternoon of beloved with them.

It’s lovely to see those little looks that a couple shares. It’s an amazing reminder for them to see them after the session in the images. No two couples love each other in the same way and that’s what I adore so much about beloved. It’s about you, your love, your moments, and your hearts.

Words can not describe how honored I was when Amy asked me to set up this session. You see, I look up to Amy. She’s my go to expert for all film related matters and we attended the life {as an artform} workshop together. She introduced me to the awesomeness of the honey badger. She’s been an amazing support network for me this year. I guess what I’m trying to ramble about is that Amy is a very dear friend to me.

Over dinner, I told John that he too falls into that space in my heart alongside Amy. And that we all have our own journey and no one else gets to direct that. Amy + John, I couldn’t be more excited about the path you’ve made for yourselves and that I got to walk along it for a bit last weekend. Love you both.

Also, I’m pretty sure the laughing photo is a result of John telling me to “just take the photo, Bentley!” I laughed just as hard when he said it.

Beloved. Lovelies, my whole heart believes in this. I’m so excited to share with you my first full on beloved post and also share a few details about why these sessions fill my heart.

Molly+Aaron were so very lovely to volunteer for this session and I got to witness so many awesome moments between the two of them. We laughed. A lot. They were willing to share their joy, their lives, and their love. And I can’t thank them enough.
