Sometimes the universe sends some pretty amazing people into your life. I knew from the moment I met Annelise + Kyle that they were exactly that type. When Annelise emailed me to let me know they were moving their wedding from Eau Claire to the Grand Teton National Park and asked me if I would be open to traveling, I almost fell off my chair. Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Wyoming have been on my bucket list for YEARS, but to hear the two of them talk about their adventures there threw my excitement into overdrive. It’s where they got engaged. It’s where their hearts are. They were going to share it with their family and closest friends. And I was going to get included in all of this?
So here we all are. In the middle of the most beautiful landscape I’ve ever laid eyes on. Filling the landing they chose to get married on with laughter. Eating at their favorite brewery for dinner. Having the most amazing ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. Like they did when they were out there before. I seriously can’t wait to go back again. And remember every little thing all over again.
They had a reception a month later at Schultz’s Country Barn for all of those that weren’t able to attend the Wyoming Adventure. I could write a million lovely words about the food and details that they put into that celebration as well. Instead, I’ll let the images speak for themselves.
Some of my favorite moments with Annelise + Kyle: Their day before session where we basically pulled over in a random spot and shot some of my most favorite engagement sessions ever. The bag of red pepper flakes. The heirloom wedding jewelry. Their dads are practically BFFs and even picked out matching ties without telling each other. The bunny slippers. The dogs. The saying “I love cheap sh*t!!”. The angel pose. Their sense of humor about everything. The cookies.
