Are you seriously ready for this post? When I say “dream date engagement session”, this is exactly what I’m talking about. We made the trek to Minneapolis for Dani + Tony’s engagement session. The question whether or not I will travel for engagement sessions comes up quite a bit actually. The answer is always a giant YES! I love shooting in the places that YOU love. We started their session at the Loring Pasta Bar. Ahem. Woah. What an absolutely gorgeous space. We chatted over our beers and got to snuggling in their super plush booths. The absolutely amazing manager at Loring asked if we would like to put their save the date information up on the marquee at the Varsity Theater next door. Again with the YES! Did you know they host weddings there? I just added that lovely little venue to my wedding bucket list. As we were walking back, I notice that there was a “Tony’s Diner” across the street. We stopped. We ran. We laughed. The next stop was St. Anthony Main, which in my little world is known as “the place they hold Polish Fest”. Ahem. If you haven’t gone to the Minneapolis Polish Festival, you should. The best part? Dani and Tony both knew exactly what I was talking about as they love going as well. You guys, let’s meet up this year?
We had never ending beautiful light for this session and we can’t wait for their wedding this Summer.
PS, Dani did one of my favorite things. She scheduled the trial for her wedding day makeup on the day of their engagement session. I can’t even begin to tell you the amazing powers of hiring a professional to do your makeup. This was a great way for her to see how her makeup will look on her wedding day and she is able to make adjustments if needed. If any of my brides are looking for makeup recommendations, just send me an email and I would be happy to pass along a few names.
